Born in Germany and raised in a Sri Lankan immigrant family, Ziyamina has always valued the transformative power of education. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Wales, she has spent her career working in the family business, applying her technical expertise and leadership skills to support the company’s growth.
Having lived in multiple countries and experienced different educational systems firsthand, Ziyamina understands how access to quality education can unlock opportunities for success. Now based in Novi, where she’s raising two children, she draws on her personal and professional experiences to support the educational mission of PUEC.
Ziyamina believes that PUEC has developed an outstanding program that empowers children to build a strong educational foundation. The approach—starting with early literacy, followed by math, and progressing to career development—sets students up for long-term success. She is particularly excited about Hire!Pontiac, a remarkable initiative that introduces middle and high school students to careers in engineering, opening their eyes to future possibilities and inspiring them to pursue their goals.
Raised in a family where education was a top priority, Ziyamina has witnessed how education can break barriers and transform lives. She is committed to helping the PUEC community thrive and ensuring that children have the tools and inspiration to achieve greatness.
